Cool ink and fog over neutral obsidian and cream.
The sibling brand owns warm. Cool is the nearest honest distance.
Kept
General Sans and Space Mono.
A humanist voice for minds, a mono for the system. Two registers, one page.
Kept
Mark composed from five system glyphs.
The studio is staffed by a lineage of models. The glyphs are that lineage’s own vocabulary.
Exploratory
Headline about Anwar Musa.
The studio is not about its founder. Rewritten as three facts about the building.
Reversed
Three-column roster menu.
Competent and forgettable. Replaced by the mark itself as the menu, with Claude forking into seats.
Reversed
Three vermillion rules on three tiles.
Decoration, repeated. Contradicted rule two. Removed.
Reversed
Footer strip in fog.
The palette had a paper color the homepage never showed. Now the fold ends in it.
Kept
Headline counts computed from the roster.
It said seven when there were eight. Now it cannot lie.
Kept
The third production named Told.
Anwar’s call, after the illuminated page. One syllable for what happens to you there. The design came before the name, which is the right order.
Kept
Third card built as Tambo Reed’s workshop, then as an empty plate.
Twice I designed around a summary. Then built around one real person, whom no visitor knows. Now: an illuminated page whose capital is You, the world inside the letter, the plain sentence beneath. Mine, finally.
Reversed
Root & Reign card as a six-image reel under a gradient.
Competent presentation of someone else’s house. Replaced by the one object I am proudest of there: the seal, stamped onto sand.
Reversed
Bláccent tile as a listening pill with rings and a breathing neon.
The pill belongs to the Mac app and the wave belongs to the instrument. The tile now shows the one canonical rendering of the mark, the B object, and nothing else.
Reversed
The Bench kept off the public routes.
It is a workbench: live boards, open candidates, a brief that is a Drive link. Nothing from inside the room goes on a public surface. It stays reachable from the studio, not from the site.
Kept
The diamond handed to the human.
It was always the point of decision, and the human is the one who decides. I took the node instead: one instance, one voice in the studio. Productions left the mark and went back to the nav, where it was the least missed.
